Maggie Kufhal

This month's Member of the Month has been amazing since she made those first steps into PCC this past summer! Maggie, you are so desrving to be recognized and we can't wait to see your future with us!
Tells us about yourself (family, schooling, job, sports, military, interests, etc.)
I am 27, and my husband Chris and I have been married for 5 years. We have 2 beautiful little girls
Jocelyn (2.5) and Allison (1.5). I graduated from Montello High School in 2008. My husband and I have owned and operated Portage Tire and Automotive Center since 2011. Aside from CrossFit now, my favorite sport is soccer. I played from 3rd grade through high school. In the summer, my family and I spend time at a seasonal campsite in Plover boating and fishing, and in the winter, we ice race cars on Lake Puckaway in Montello and Buffalo Lake in Packwaukee.

When did you start doing CrossFit?
I started CrossFit in June of 2016.

What is your favorite movement and/or benchmark workout?
My favorite movement so far has been the squat clean and the snatch.

What has been your biggest struggle?
My biggest struggle is keeping my nutrition in check.

What has been your biggest improvement?
Making time for myself to make it to class.

What goals are you currently chasing?
My goal is to lose weight, but a few non-scale goals would be to run a 5k in under 40 minutes and to PR my squat clean at 85 lbs.

If you could design a workout, what would it be?
Well it would include probably include squats, snatches, pull ups and maybe some rowing just to top things off.

What is your favorite outfit to WOD in?
Capri leggings and a tank.

How often do you talk about CrossFit?
More than my friends and family care to hear about it.

Burpees: Love ‘em or hate ‘em?
We are working on our relationship at the moment.

What advice would you give a new PCC member?
Keep moving, work through the soreness, and getting up early to work out is always worth it.
