Safe Re-Opening Strategies

5/21/2020

We are very excited to announce the re-opening of PCC! As always, the health and safety of our members and staff are of utmost importance. Our team of coaches and board members have been working together while referring to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation’s suggested re-opening guidelines so that we may safely workout together once again.

What you can expect from PCC:
· We will do our best to maintain 6 feet of distance between athletes at all times
· Weekly gym cleanings will be doubled and we will be sanitizing equipment several times throughout the day
· Coaches will be self-monitoring their own temperatures and overall health before coaching classes
· No drop-ins will be permitted for the first month; this will be re-evaluated at board meetings on a month-to-month basis
· Our class schedule will remain the same
· Masks will be available or you may bring your own – they are NOT required
· Garage doors will be open as much as possible
· Coaches will write your scores and PRs on the whiteboards (we still want to see ‘em!)

What we ask of you:
· Self-monitor your temperature and overall health – if you feel sick or if a family member is sick, please stay home
· Wash your hands upon entering the gym AND before you leave
· Classes will be limited to 9 members - register for class in Zen Planner – if you are not registered and class is full, you won’t be able to stay and workout during that class
· Please do not come early for class and please leave when your class is finished – the weather should be nice so get loosened up, cool down, and socialize outside
· Ziploc bags with emotional support chalk will be provided upon request and should be for individual use only – please do not share except with a family member
· Spray bottles with disinfectant will be available to each athlete - please use to sanitize all equipment you use and to wipe up bodily fluids left on the floor (do NOT use Clorox wipes on equipment - they are corrosive to metals) - wipe spray bottle handle with Clorox wipes after use
· If any of your family members or neighbors have watched you do our CrossFit workouts over the quarantine and expressed interest in joining, please let us know. We would love to have them!

We would like to remind everyone that we each have very different experiences with COVID 19 and quarantine. Please be respectful of everyone’s unique concerns and fears. If you have any questions or concerns, you may reach out to our Board of Directors, email us at portagecrossfit@gmail.com , or message us on our PCC Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PortageCrossFit/

Thank you to ALL of our athletes for sticking with us throughout these uncharted times. We CANNOT wait to see you all safely back at The Coop!!
